Huobi Global will move its headquarters to the Caribbean region and work closely with the Caribbean nation of Dominica to develop crypto infrastructure, tweeted Yuchen Sun, founder of Tron and member of Huobi Global’s Global Advisory Board.
In addition, Sun said Huobi will involve encouraging dozens of employees from its Seychelles headquarters to relocate to the Caribbean, and hopes to have 200 employees in the region, according to the Financial Times. It currently employs about 1,600 people.
This follows the news on October 12 that Dominica selected TRON as the country’s national blockchain infrastructure and was authorized to issue the country’s tokens.
